Evidence for ARCP
You will need to demonstrate at ARCP that you used your Advanced module to enhance your non-clinical skills in that field. The panel will be looking at the non-clinical domains in your chosen Advanced Module in addition to your advanced clinical skills.
Personal Development Plan & Progress Reports
You will be required to complete a Personal Development Plan for your Advanced module:
Advanced Module – Progress report+
This should be an agreed plan with your Educational Supervisor and reviewed at 3 monthly intervals. The Training Programme Director will ask to see your final progress report which he will add his comments. This document will then be asked for as part of your ARCP documentation.
You MUST link all supporting evidence to the Advanced section (personal evidence) in e-Portfolio. You will need to show these reports as evidence at your ARCP.
Involvement in Regional Teaching in your chosen ATM
There are several Regional Teaching programmes that the Advanced trainee should be involved with. Involvement would fulfil some of the advanced module domains. For example:
- Final FRCA Crammer course – in Neuro, Paeds, ICM, Cardio, Pain, Obstetrics & General Duties (held in January & July).
- Introduction to ‘Intermediate’ Training in Neuro, Paeds, ICM, Cardio, Pain & Obstetrics (held in Spring & Autumn).
- Introduction to Obstetric Anaesthesia.
- Introduction to Regional Anaesthesia.
- MEPA course.
